The Academy has an idea of how to shorten Oscars acceptance speeches, but so does host Chris Rock.

“They’re letting me do things my way this Oscars, and here’s my solution when someone talks too long,” he says before tasering Jimmy Kimmel in a new batch of promos for the ceremony. “Get ready for the shortest show in history.”

With Kimmel hosting a special After the Oscars edition of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the late-night personality joins Rock in two other promos. Together they throw jabs at those dance numbers performed by previous hosts (“Nobody likes that”) and joke about tickets for the big show.

Watch the PEOPLE & EW Red Carpet Live streaming pre-show celebration on Feb. 28 beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET/2:30 p.m. PT on PEOPLE.com and EW.com, with live red carpet coverage, fashion and beauty trends, and winner predictions.
