Kevin Hart didn’t steal Chris Rock’s Oscars hosting job, as the latter joked during his opening monologue. The Ride Along comedian, though, did win out in the social media arena.
Nineteen million accounts had 64 million interactions related to the 88th Academy Awards, according to the service, and Hart was responsible for two of the top-five most liked Instagram photos from Sunday’s awards show.
Like Hart, Lady Gaga had two of the top five, with Chrissy Teigen also taking one of the coveted spots. Here are the top photos.
OSCARS 2016:Winners | Red Carpet | Best & Worst Dressed | Best Speeches | Chris Rock | Best Moments
As for videos? Rock’s stop at a McDonald’s drive-through was the most popular; the man had to score his hotcakes before the show.
The Academy captured winners’ reactions to receiving their own statuettes. Julianne Moore approached Leonardo DiCaprio and told him, “I told you!” after his long-awaited award. Brie Larson, the Best Actress victor, couldn’t contain her excitement with Eddie Redmayne.
As for hashtags? Four of the top five had to do with the ceremony itself (#oscars, #oscars2016, #oscar, #academyawards). But No. 2 was #leonardodicaprio, the man responsible for setting a record for most tweets per minute of any telecasted Oscars moment.
